We're looking first at weapon penetration as the least disruptive way to reduce Battlerage's power. We recognize it's strong, but we want to avoid drastic scaling cuts that could destabilize class balance—any tuning will be cautious and measured.

Technically likely possible, but we won't add it, for reasons such as: Cost (development, maintenance, running extra servers), moderation concerns and abuse potential.

- • Gathering tools: QoL improvements and fresh approaches to gathering activities, as extensions of those activities rather than replacements.
- • Crafting tools: Push professions to new breakpoints; may become required for advanced future recipes where appropriate.

Parts of the upcoming Ayanad Rework may open up more niche playstyles, but it will be up to players to find possibilities.

How is the Idea to take the Hiram gear and make something totally new out of it?

The team does not currently have plans to implement Hiram.

Will we ever see expansions to professions? example: more mounts that can come from animal breeding such as the way Yata's and Bear's give out mounts.

Near-term expansions will come via a new profession (taming) and by adding Dawnsdrop tools across professions to deepen them.

Any thought to filling out current professions more? Additional potions that give more hp but drain mana, or more mana but drain hp than normal etc. Perhaps improved odds regrade scrolls for printing? additional regrade charms?

No—production speeds are already high; we prefer to limit global use of such scrolls.

The way the Auction House works severely impacts the economy because it doesn't allow partial purchases. This causes waste… Are there any plans to add this feature?

Partial buys aren't compatible with our version today. It is not on the roadmap but it is a feature that is being considered.

Some disparities (ex: cucumber packs) were already addressed, if any are still outstanding we will address them. Feel free to submit suggestions in the suggestion category to let us know!

Have you ever thought about making all types of tradeable equipment available? This would increase the market and encourage those who want to change classes without having to destroy all their equipment?

Team Response:
Tradeability of some gear type is a good way to have them keep their value. An ayanad piece can be purchased and resold without much value loss. Obsidian can become stronger (T7) but is not easily traded.

Can the Empty Easel that uses "blank standup canvas" which can only be bought in the marketplace be replace for something else that isnt in the marketplace?

Opening up large quantities of land is a never-ending task, once it fills up new land will be requested. Land prices are currently reasonable and we are monitoring to ensure they stay that way.

Any intention of taking a hard look at all the players that have held land and paid taxes for over 1 year but haven't played the game in that length of time?

We've discussed it at length; still evaluating fair and practical ways to apply it.

No plans to implement a roulette system.

The free placement nature of housing means that housing boundaries are what they are. If today a boundary prevents you from placing a house, tomorrow it may not if a neighboring land moves by 4 units. Not planned.

We recently delivered one; we're open to revisiting festival rewards or adding new festival rewards when some festivals feel lacking.

All events are on the table, but schedules for high-economy impact events are kept close to the chest.

The names reflect areas present in the files/lore but historically empty. We want Erenor to become fully explorable over time. We have some plans for the future to expand the Auroria continent, but we will not overlap zones added by the base game later, giving us the best of both worlds.

Not planned currently. We intend to visit ship components in an upcoming patch (1.3.7) so we will keep this under consideration.

It comes with the territory. We're focused on a passion project that's been a real success, and we try not to let negativity derail that.

We can always improve. We have come a long way from where we started, but there is always room for improvement.

What do you think the biggest management mistake was during these 2 years and how would you react differently now?

The initial landrush was misconfigured, and follow-up decisions were rushed. Lessons learned: take the time to craft a proper solution, maintain robust backups (we do far more now), and don't hesitate to keep the server down longer to fully resolve issues—like we did with the mana wisp incident.

When do we swap to Unreal Engine 5?

We are working on the Adventurer's Guide to help new players know where to go next in a sandbox world. We may open up a content creation program in the near future to help promote the server, but we are not there yet.

We have many ideas, so it's hard to pin down. The total timeline for all content planned and thought out internally would be around 2 years, but this includes more than the roadmap above.

We are taking the Classic+ approach. If good ideas come from retail we are open to implementing them, but our main focus is on the Classic experience.

We start from ArcheAge's original vision, lore, and precedents.
- • Zones: Swirling Meadows was built iteratively on the leftover landmass, extending it where it looked and felt right along the ocean border.
- • Events: We use existing events/lore to lead players naturally.
- • Comets (1.3.5): They follow that principle, and there's unrevealed lore behind their passing.

No—AAC will never have a fresh start server.

How long was the dev cycle for swirling meadows? What was the hardest part? Future zones?

Team Response:
About 2–3 months. We had to learn tooling, resolve export/collision quirks, and build a perfect world replica inside our tools so it attached cleanly (minus a day the Hellswamp ponds lost water). We have clear plans for ~4 more zones and broader ideas beyond that—details to be shared later.

Can you tell us about some of the difficulties you had starting the server? Lessons learned, tools made…

Biggest hurdle: learning the game without documentation. We built/iterated multiple toolchains, culminating in a web-based editor that can modify nearly the entire game. We also reverse-engineered key file formats (world map—e.g., Swirling Meadows integration; models—e.g., F1 kart, weapon skins). This work requires deep, uninterrupted focus.

How much time a week (in hours) is the team spending on specific functions…

This really depends on the team member and their current focus. Ranges from 20 to 80 hours a week depending on team member.

How has this affected your personal lives and/or jobs?

Team Response:
This also depends on the team member. Some have families, some have jobs, some have other commitments. I (Aguru) personally have stopped working on other projects to focus on this one.

What do you need to improve the development of the game? What's stopping you from being even more efficient?

Team Response:
1. Improving the way we prepare tasks. We used to do a lot of "vibes". These days, tasks such as the Taming Proficiency come with a full design document before the first task even begins. 2. Reducing weekly updates to focus on larger ones every month/2 months. 3. There is always room to improve our tools, for example we recently added the ability to create an item box with a single button, instead of requiring the creation of an item, a skill and skill effects.
