A New Discovery: Dawnsdrop Tools

The Ollo Research Institute has reached a fascinating new discovery in their studies about the effects of various materials that are combined with Archeum.

The study reveals that the effects seen were stronger with higher quality of materials, leading to unstable yet unique item properties.

The research has reached several communities in Ynystere and Halcyona who have requested additional help from renowned gatherers to refine and test their understanding of this new discovery.

Dawnsdrop Pickaxe

The Ynystere community has reported interesting effects when imbuing Archeum into pickaxes.

The effects have been reported to strengthen its efficiency and increase overall output. However, this has also been reported to increase fatigue, leading to workers requesting more frequent breaks.

Dawnsdrop Watering Can

The Halcyona communities have also been imbuing Archeum into their own tools. ln initial reports reports, studies have shown that refining a watering can with Archeum had shown no improvement.

Gatherers using the tool had then noticed later that the tool had infinite water which has caused research to surge forward as they analyzed their new findings.

Further research has confirmed that refining the tool will increase efficiency and water output.

The Research Continues, Pioneering into the Future

Several notable communities have taken note of the accomplishments in Ynystere and Halcyona and have begun their own research into further tool advancements, such as:

  • Dawnsdrop Pitchfork
  • Dawnsdrop Vial
  • Dawnsdrop Hammer
  • Dawnsdrop Shears
  • Dawnsdrop Quill

A Note from Ollo Research Institute

The Dawnsdrop tools that we're introducing in patch 1.3.2 will be the first step to bring gatherers and crafters progression based tools that benefit the profession in a unique, special way. Each tool will have their own unique quest chain story, where the player will be asked by a profession expert for help with testing and progressing the tool they're researching. The NPC will help you progress your tool steadily by asking you to do certain tasks such as gather or just simply use your tool like you do every day.

The maximum grade that the tools can be progressed tomorrow will be Celestial. This will be steadily increased up to the Mythic grade. The effects of each Dawnsdrop Tool will also increase per grade, rewarding the player for reaching major goals such as epic, legendary, and mythic. The effects provided by these tools will benefit the profession in a notable way that investing into them will feel rewarding and worthwhile.

Each quest objective will be increasingly difficult, requiring the player to invest in long term progression.

The Watering Can is the only exception at this moment as we didn't want to conflict with the potential of farming effects and also gathering effects, so this was made as a way to water your plants easily and the quest is more fun than difficult.

Which tool would you guys like to see Ollo Research Institute bring next?
